restarting
I originally had another website which I ran using Hugo as the framework, Netlify for deployment, and Github to host the markdown. I would use Obsidian to write my blog posts, and back those up on Github. The workflow was that, when I pushed to the Git repository, it would automatically deploy to my website through Netlify. It doesn't matter if you do, or don't know what these pieces of technology are, the point is that there was more friction and steps than needed. Whilst it was a great exercise in learning how to setup a website for free and learning new technologies, it was deterring from what mattered: the content.
So here I am now, restarting a blog, which I hope to write daily to begin with at the very least, and we'll see how we go moving forward. Simple themes, nothing over the top, focusing on what matters. The content.
Writing for no one in particular, sometimes I'll hope a certain type of person reads a post, sometimes it'll be for myself (past, or future self), and other times it'll simply be a way to express my thoughts out into the void of the Internet.
